Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross are standouts as the father and mother of a family coping with cultural identity, assimilation and modern life. crazyexRachel Bloom shines in this new comedy (with music!) as New York lawyer Rebecca Bunch, who moves to California to pursue a long-lost boyfriend. It may not be for everyone, but I was hooked from the opening number of last week’s episode, with Bunch on top of a giant pretzel. 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, on The CW.
